Premarital Agreements allow prospective spouses to address three primary areas of concern:
- Postseparation and alimony rights;
- Equitable distribution rights; and
- Inheritance rights.
Premarital Agreements may be recommended for anyone who has accumulated property and wealth before marriage, who has a child or children from a previous relationship or marriage that is desired to receive certain assets from anestate, those who have established successful businesses or professions prior to marriage, those who expect to receive substantial family wealth or inheritance or an interest in a family owned business, or those prospective spouses that have substantial wealth or income.
